Hospitality Talents, a recruitment agency specializing in Hospitality profiles, is currently seeking a motivated Accountant Belgium & Netherlands to join the team of our client, a company active in the Catering Industry.
Our client is seeking a proactive and “hands-on” individual with a strong desire to enhance existing financial processes and contribute significant value to the business. The ideal candidate is an excellent team player with a strong personality, capable of effective interaction within and outside the organization. A keen learner, the candidate should be committed to the growth of the finance team and be a first-class communicator who fosters team spirit and is motivated by achieving targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily finance operations for the Brussels and Amsterdam offices.
- Manage the full financial cycle, including purchase, revenue, salary, and general ledger processes, along with journal postings.
- Perform multicurrency reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly trial balance reconciliations for Brussels and Amsterdam offices.
- Ensure compliance with local finance processes, internal controls, and legal regulations.
- Handle VAT accounts reconciliation and submit returns to local authorities.
- Collaborate with the Group Accountant to reconcile operating costs.
- Manage invoicing, debt management, and cash planning.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to advise the Operation Manager on operational policies and decisions.
- Control revenue cycles with accurate and detailed weekly reconciliations.
- Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc projects and analysis.
- Coordinate inter-company financial matters with Finance Managers from other locations (Paris/London).
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment, ideally within the catering, large rail, or air sectors.
- Proficient in “day-to-day” finance operations.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Multicurrency reconciliation experience.
- Languages: English (mandatory), Dutch (advantageous)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are critical.
This role is essential for ensuring robust financial management across multiple offices, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the strategic decision-making processes of the business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial efficiency and effectiveness within our client’s organization.
