Bel'Œuf 2025 : gourmet delights in Art Deco style in Brussels
14 April 2025
Every spring in Brussels, chocolate becomes sculpture, the egg becomes a work of art, and the big names in Belgian chocolate reveal all their creativity. For its third edition, the Bel'Œuf exhibition returns with a theme as chic as it is delicious: a tribute to Art Deco, to mark the centenary of this emblematic aesthetic movement.
Eggs in all their forms
Thirty-five Belgian master chocolatiers have been invited to revisit the Easter egg with boldness and elegance. With stylised geometries, refined curves and inspiration from the 1920s, each creation embodies the spirit of Art Deco at its most spectacular - in a cocoa version. Among the participants : Pierre Marcolini, Marc Ducobu and Louise Henriques, recently crowned "Belgian Chocolate Star".
Each work is priced at €750, with all proceeds going to the Fondation Saint-Pierre, which supports paediatric projects at the Brussels teaching hospital of the same name. An exhibition that combines aesthetics, commitment and gourmet delights.
A decor to match
The event is taking place in the Ambassadeur room of the Hôtel Amigo, an iconic city-centre address known for its refinement and its constant link with culture. The sober, elegant setting is perfectly in tune with the visual world of Art Deco.
The experience continues at the bar and in the kitchen
Want to go further? The Magritte Bar is offering cocktails inspired by the Roaring Twenties to accompany your visit. And on Sundays 14 and 21 April, the Bocconi restaurant is revisiting its ‘Pranzo della Domenica’, an Italian nod to the Sunday lunch tradition, in an even more festive version.
